• Bri-Mod RD1 Outdoor Remote Controlled Intelligent Dimmer Switch Module Kit

The Bri-Mod RD1 module is a brand new intelligent infrared (IR) remote controlled dimmer switch circuit encased in IP67 rated weatherproof housing for outdoor use. It is available in kit form and is easily spliced into existing or new light fixture wiring by a qualified electrician. It can be used with all types of dimmable mains incandescent lighting including low voltage (12V) halogen lamps (only if the LV halogen lamps are connected to an appropriate dimmable electronic transformer), and dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs).

A programming wand is used to set the module into “learn mode”. Once the user selected key or button on the remote control handset has been “programmed” into or “learned” by the module dimming can begin!

Pressing the selected key or button on the handset enables the user to remotely switch a light on, off, or dim it to any desired level.

The Bri-Mod RD1 module makes it possible for users to remotely switch outdoor (or indoor) dimmable incandescent lighting and dimmable CFLs on and off as well as to precisely adjust and set the intensity of light from those lamps by means of a standard infrared remote control handset.

The IR-DX1 is intended specifically to be used with the Bri-Mod RD1Outdoor Remote Controlled Intelligent Dimmer Switch Module by those who require extra range. Its powerful output will provide a superior range of up to 25m in dark, dry, outdoor conditions compared to most commercially available IR remote control handsets when used in this application.

The Bri-Mod RD1 dimmer switch module can be programmed to respond to any of the 15 buttons (keys) on the Bri-Luxe IR-DX1 remote control handset which means up to 15 separate Bri-Mod RD1s can be controlled from one IR-DX1 handset.
